Islamic Studies
The Islamic Education Department provides compulsory Islamic Education for all Muslim students from KG1 to Grade 12. The programme is delivered in Arabic for Arab Muslim students and in English for non-Arab Muslim students.
Rooted in the principles and standards of the UAE Ministry of Education, our Islamic Education programme promotes an appreciation of Islamic values, UAE culture and heritage, while encouraging reflective thinking, positive citizenship and active contributions to both the school and wider community. Through engaging and meaningful learning experiences, students develop a deeper understanding of Islamic beliefs, worship, ethics, Seerah (the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) and Islamic history, while exploring the relevance of Islamic teachings in their daily lives. Students also develop their Quranic knowledge through Tilawah (Quran recitation) and Tajweed, learning to recite the Holy Quran accurately, confidently and with understanding. Learning extends beyond the classroom through a range of enrichment opportunities, including Quran recitation programmes, internal and external competitions, national initiatives, community events
and student-led activities that celebrate Islamic values and achievements.
Our goal is to inspire students to become knowledgeable, compassionate and ethical young people who embrace Islamic values and contribute positively to society while remaining proud of their faith, culture and heritage.
